Basketball Recap: Gary Makes It 13 in a Row at Home

Gary proved they can win big last Tuesday (they won by 23) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 46-44 victory over the Tenaha Tigers. This was a revenge game for the Bobcats: when they faced off against the Tigers back in January, they had to take a 60-59 loss.

Gary's win was their 13th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 22-8. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.4 points per game. As for Tenaha, they moved to 24-7 with that defeat, which also ended their eight-game winning streak.

Gary and Tenaha should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. Gary (ranked 522nd) will meet Joaquin (ranked 1496th) at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Similarly, Tenaha will take on Elysian Fields at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday up 700 places (391 vs. 1091).
