Mt. Hope came tearing into Thursday's match with seven straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the St. Raphael Academy Saints. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in April.

Mt. Hope was especially dominant in the second set. The final score came out to 25-16, 25-13, 25-19.

Jacob Betres paced Mt. Hope's offense, picking up nine kills. Betres got some help from Dylan DeOliveira and his 30 assists. Nathaniel Fisher controlled things from the service line, finishing with six aces.

Mt. Hope's win was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-1. As for St. Raphael Academy, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mt. Hope will take on Portsmouth at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for St. Raphael Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Block Island at 2:30 p.m. St. Raphael Academy is facing Block Island at the right time seeing as Block Island is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
