La Cueva has gone 8-2 against Eldorado recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The La Cueva Bears will face off against the Eldorado Golden Eagles at 7:00 p.m. La Cueva knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matches -- so hopefully Eldorado likes a good challenge.

La Cueva is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of New Mexico's top teams: Cleveland, who was ranked fourth at the time (La Cueva was ranked 15th). La Cueva had just enough and edged Cleveland out 66-64.

Meanwhile, Eldorado strolled past Manzano with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 64-48.

La Cueva is also on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine games, which provided a massive bump to their 9-7 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.3 points per game. As for Eldorado, their victory bumped their record up to 8-9.

La Cueva beat Eldorado 78-67 in their previous matchup back in March of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for La Cueva since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
