Recap: Northland Christian Cougars vs. Incarnate Word Academy Falcons
After flying high against Tournament Opponent last Saturday, the Northland Christian Cougars came back down to earth. Northland Christian was the victim of a rough 56-31 defeat at the hands of Incarnate Word Academy on Friday. Northland Christian was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Incarnate Word Academy apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2014.
It was another big night for Lauren Gentry, who scored 14 points for Incarnate Word Academy. Kyree Ike was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Northland Christian's loss dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Incarnate Word Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-9 record this season.
Northland Christian is on the road again on Saturday and play against FBCHA at 10:00 a.m. on December 16th. FBCHA will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. As for Incarnate Word Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Fort Bend Christian Academy at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. Fort Bend Christian Academy is on a three-game streak of home losses, Incarnate Word Academy a nine-game streak of away losses (dating back to last season), but someone's luck is about to change.
