Football Game Preview: Brooks Eagles vs. King Jaguars

The Brooks Eagles will take on the King Jaguars at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Brooks headed into their last contest having not scored more than 13 points for four straight, but Johnson let them put that streak behind them. The Eagles blew past the Pumas 38-8 on Saturday. The Eagles' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Meanwhile, it may have taken overtime to finish the job, but King ultimately got the result they hoped for on Saturday. They skirted past Westinghouse 22-20. Winning may never get old, but the Jaguars sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Brooks' first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-4. As for King, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Everything came up roses for Brooks against King in their previous matchup back in September of 2021, as the squad secured a 54-14 win. In that game, the Eagles amassed a halftime lead of 29-8, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Thursday.
