Recap: Lincoln Lions vs. Piedmont Hills Pirates
The Lincoln Lions waltzed into their match on Friday with three straight wins but they left with four. They walked away with a 66-53 victory over Piedmont Hills. For Lincoln, this counts as revenge for the 81-79 loss Piedmont Hills walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2023.
Lincoln's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Joseph Shelton, who scored 24 points along with four steals. Shelton is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last six games he's played. Mussie Yimer was another key contributor, scoring 19 points.
Lincoln has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a massive bump to their 10-6 record this season. As for Piedmont Hills, they bumped their record down to 6-10 with that loss, which was their fourth straight at home.
Lincoln will take on Pioneer at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Piedmont Hills, they will head out on the road to take on Prospect at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
