Baseball Recap: Valley Extends Winning Streak to Two

Valley hadn't done well against Fairdale recently (they were 0-7 in their previous seven matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Vikings' pitchers stepped up to hand the Bulldogs a 17-0 shutout. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Vikings' hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.

The victory made it two in a row for Valley and bumps their season record up to 5-7. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Fairdale, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 15 of their last 17 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-21 record this season.

Valley didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 20-2 defeat against Doss on the 1st. As for Fairdale, they have also already played their next contest, a 20-9 loss against Kentucky Country Day on the 30th.
