Basketball Recap: Macks Creek Takes a Loss

Macks Creek lost against Wheatland back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Macks Creek Pirates took a blow against the Wheatland Mules, falling 63-35. While losing is never fun, the Pirates can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 469th, while the Mules are ranked 91st).

Macks Creek has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season. That patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.3 points per game. As for Wheatland, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-2.

Macks Creek has already played their next contest (against Weaubleau), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Wheatland has also has no score uploaded for their next game, this one against Niangua.
