Basketball Recap: Skyview Falls Despite Big Games from Gabriel Guevara and Kenneth Sanchez

Skyview was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 44-33 to the Adams City Eagles. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wolverines this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 52-38 back in January.

Skyview's loss came despite strong showings from Kenneth Sanchez and Gabriel Guevara. Sanchez posted nine points, while Guevara put up six points along with five assists and four steals. Guevara is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last ten games he's played.

Adams City got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Sebastian Garcia out in front who went 7 of 13 on his way to 15 points. Those 15 points gave Garcia a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Elijah Vigil, who earned eight points.

Skyview's defeat dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Adams City, with the victory, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-14.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Skyview has already played their next contest (against The Pinnacle), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Adams City will be playing in front of their home fans against Aurora Central at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Aurora Central is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52.4 points per game this season.
