Preview: Opp Bobcats vs. Cottage Hill Christian Academy Warriors
The Opp Bobcats's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Cottage Hill Christian Academy Warriors at 6:00 p.m. on February 10th. Opp will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Alabama Rankings (they are ranked 413th, while Cottage Hill Christian Academy is ranked 82nd).
Opp and Pike County squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but sadly Opp had to settle for second. They were outmatched by the Bulldogs on the road and fell 79-45. Opp has not had much luck with Pike County recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Opp's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Dorian Harris, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds, and Reed Adams who scored seven points along with six rebounds and two blocks. Josh Smith was another key contributor, scoring seven points.
Meanwhile, Cottage Hill Christian Academy strolled past Mobile Christian with points to spare on Wednesday, taking the game 65-51.
Opp's defeat dropped their record down to 3-24. As for Cottage Hill Christian Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 18-10.
Opp took a serious blow against Cottage Hill Christian Academy when the teams last played back in February of 2018, falling 64-34. Can Opp avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
