Basketball Game Preview: Tioga Pirates vs. Divide County Maroons

The Tioga Pirates will face off against the Divide County Maroons at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Tioga's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last eight matches.

Tioga is headed into the contest having just suffered their biggest defeat since December 16, 2024 on Tuesday. They lost 82-60 to Powers Lake/Burke Central. The loss continues a trend for the Pirates in their matchups with Powers Lake/Burke Central: they've now lost three in a row.

Meanwhile, it was close, but on Friday Divide County sidestepped Trenton for a 63-61 victory.

Tioga's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Divide County, their win bumped their record up to 4-6.

Tioga took their victory against Divide County when the teams last played back in February of 2024 by a conclusive 69-47. Does Tioga have another victory up their sleeve, or will Divide County turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
