Basketball Recap: Spring Grove Comes Up Short

Spring Grove suffered their closest loss since February 10, 2024 on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Lyle/Pacelli Athletics by a score of 54-51. The Lions were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Athletics apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Spring Grove has also traveled a rocky road recently having lost ten of their last 12 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season. As for Lyle/Pacelli, the win snapped their losing streak at 14 games dating back to last season and leaves them with a 1-13 record.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Spring Grove Lions face off against the LeRoy-Ostrander Cardinals at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday.
