Basketball Recap: Highland Tech Puts Losing Streak Behind Them + How To Watch

Highland Tech had lost four straight headed into Friday's game, but Darius Stinson Jr didn't let it get to five. The Rams narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Cherryville Ironmen 60-58 thanks in part to Stinson Jr, who dropped a double-double with 21 points and ten boards. That makes it three consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Highland Tech's points.

Highland Tech's win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-6. As for Cherryville, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Highland Tech will be home for the holidays to greet West Lincoln at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Rams will be up against the Rebels' rather soft defense (which has allowed 69.88 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Cherryville, they will host CHASE at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
