Cibola has gone 8-1-1 against San Luis recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Cibola Raiders will challenge the San Luis Sidewinders at 6:00 p.m. Cibola will be strutting in after a victory while San Luis will be coming in after a defeat.

Cibola's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by an 8-0 margin over Yuma. The result was nothing new for the Raiders, who have now won six games by four goals or more so far this season.

Their offense was hitting Yuma from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Leyla Lugo led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for four goals all by herself.

Meanwhile, San Luis was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They lost 10-2 to Gila Ridge. While losing is never fun, the Sidewinders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona soccer rankings (they are ranked 154th, while the Hawks are ranked 26th).

San Luis' defeat dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Cibola, their win bumped their record up to 9-5-1.

Cibola took their victory against San Luis in their previous matchup last Tuesday by a conclusive 7-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Cibola since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
