Softball Recap: Bell Comes Up Short

After soaring to 17 runs the game before, Bell was a bit more limited in their contest on Monday. They fell 5-1 to the Byron Nelson Bobcat. The Blue Raiders were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bobcat apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2018.

Bell got a good showing from Rylie English, who pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. The dominant performance gave English a new career-low in hits.

Bell has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last nine games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record this season. Byron Nelson now has a winning record of 10-9-1.

Coming up, Bell will head out to take on Trinity at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Byron Nelson, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Keller Central at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
