Football Recap: Shadow Hills Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Shadow Hills played a tough contest on Thursday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They lost 38-14 to the Palm Desert Aztecs. The Knights were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 31-7.

It was another big night for Alfred 'AJ' Rivera Jr., who threw for 322 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 11.5 yards per attempt for Palm Desert. Rivera Jr.'s passing game has become a key predictor of the Aztecs' success: the team is undefeated when his passer rating is 110 or higher, but only 2-3 otherwise. Palm Desert also got a significant boost from Elijah Walker, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 89 yards.

Shadow Hills has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season. As for Palm Desert, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-3.
