After a string of four wins, Oxford Academy's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Cerritos Dons by a score of 3-2. The Patriots were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Dons earlier this season, when they won 3-1.

Oxford Academy started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 20-25, 15-25, 25-23, 25-20, 15-12.

Despite the loss, Oxford Academy still got an impressive performance from Andy Ha, who had 24 digs and one assist. Karol Dang was another key player, getting 14 digs and two aces.

Oxford Academy's defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 7-1 and their overall record down to 14-7. As for Cerritos, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-7 record this season.

Oxford Academy will be playing in front of their home fans against San Juan Hills at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Cerritos, they will head out on the road to face off against Sonora at 4:45 p.m. on Thursday.
