Softball Recap: Strath Haven Takes a Loss

Strath Haven fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Garnet Valley on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took an 11-8 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Jaguars. The Panthers haven't had much luck with the Jaguars recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Strath Haven's defeat dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Garnet Valley, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Strath Haven will head out to take on Lower Merion at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday. The Aces have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.9 runs per game on average), something the Panthers will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Garnet Valley, they are taking a road trip to square off against Marple Newtown at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Jaguars will need to watch out since the Fightin' Tigers have now posted at least ten runs in their last four matchups.
