Softball Recap: Union County Takes a Loss

Union County lost against Christian County back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Braves fell 6-3 to the Colonels. The Braves have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Audrey Staley made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. That double was her first of the season.

Union County's defeat dropped their record down to 10-9. As for Christian County, their win bumped their record up to 10-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Union County will square off against Hamilton County at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Christian County, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Trigg County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Wildcats will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something the Colonels surely won't give up without a fight.
