Basketball Recap: Bodine Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Munir Herbert and Alex Delisca

Bodine lost against Kensington back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Bodine took a 71-62 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Kensington KENSINGTON TIGER. Bodine has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Alex Delisca and Munir Herbert certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss. Delisca dropped a double-double on 22 points and 11 rebounds, while Herbert went 7 of 9 en route to 16 points and four steals. Those 22 points gave Delisca a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Nigeir Fisher, who posted 12 points.

Even though they lost, Bodine smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive rebounds in three consecutive matchups.

Kensington found their leader in sophomore Rob Smith, who scored 35 points. Smith's afternoon made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Alejandro Paulino, who had 16 points.

Bodine's defeat dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Kensington, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-7.

Bodine does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Kensington, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Franklin Towne at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
