Soccer Recap: Western Dubuque Takes a Loss

Western Dubuque was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 10-0 to the Linn-Mar Lions. While losing is never fun, Western Dubuque can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa soccer rankings (they are ranked 145th, while Linn-Mar are ranked 16th).

Western Dubuque's loss dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Linn-Mar, their win was their ninth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-4-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Western Dubuque will head out to challenge Calamus-Wheatland on Friday. As for Linn-Mar, they will venture away from home to face off against Xavier at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
