Basketball Recap: Jefferson City Takes a Loss

Jefferson City lost against Battle back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Sunday. The Jefferson City Jays lost 71-48 to the Battle Spartans. While losing is never fun, the Jays can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 362nd, while the Spartans are ranked 134th).

Jefferson City's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Battle, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 4-5 record this season.

Jefferson City will square off against Smith-Cotton at 5:30 p.m. on January 7th. As for Battle, they will take on Lift for Life Academy at 7:00 p.m. on January 7th.
