Basketball Recap: Westwood Baptist Academy Eagles vs. Varsity Opponent
The Westwood Baptist Academy Eagles came tearing into Thursday's contest with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13.7 points) and they left with even more momentum. They enjoyed a cozy 31-15 win over Varsity Opponent.
Westwood Baptist Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Katie Gross out in front who scored 15 points along with eight rebounds. That makes it eight consecutive games in which Gross has scored at least a third of Westwood Baptist Academy's points. Sydney Hawley was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with seven steals.
