Football Recap: Fleetwood Takes a Loss

After soaring to 54 points the game before, Fleetwood was a bit more limited in their matchup on Thursday. They were outmatched by the Upper Perkiomen Indians and fell 35-7. The Tigers lost against the Indians in their previous head to head back in August of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 28-21 score last time.

Upper Perkiomen's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Logan O'Donnell, who punched in one rushing score, and also threw for 65 yards and one TD on only five passes. The dominant performance also gave O'Donnell a new career-high in passer rating (127.1). Benjamin Sands also deserves a mention for his punt return touchdown.

Fleetwood's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Upper Perkiomen, the win also got them back to even at 1-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fleetwood will face off against Schuylkill Valley at 7:00 p.m. on September 5. As for Upper Perkiomen, they will challenge Sun Valley at 7:00 p.m. on September 5.
