Basketball Recap: Holly Pond Takes a Loss

Holly Pond was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were two points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 43-41 heartbreaker at the hands of the Pennington Tigers. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Broncos this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 65-55 back in December of 2024.

Holly Pond's defeat dropped their record down to 9-12. As for Pennington, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-6-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Holly Pond will square off against Vinemont at 7:45 p.m. on January 14th. As for Pennington, they will take on Locust Fork at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Locust Fork's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
