Basketball Recap: Pleasanton Takes a Loss

Pleasanton played a tough matchup on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were outmatched by the Southeast Lancers and fell 61-13. The Blu-Jays were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 50-9.

Teagan Warner continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Southeast, going 7 for 9 en route to 18 points and eight boards. Another player making a difference was Eliz White, who posted 13 points.

Pleasanton dropped their record down to 0-5-1 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Southeast, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pleasanton has already played their next contest (against Osawatomie), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Southeast will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on St. Paul at 6:00 p.m. on January 28th.
