It may have taken extra minutes to finish the job, but Carlinville ultimately got the result they hoped for on Monday. They never let the Hillsboro Hiltoppers get on the board and left with a 2-0 victory. The win was familiar territory for Carlinville, who have now won three contests in a row.

Jordyn Loveless was the driving force of Carlinville's attack as she scored both of Carlinville's goals, bringing her season total up to 39 goals.

Carlinville pushed their record up to 12-5 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 13 goals over those three matchups. As for Hillsboro, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-7.
