Softball Recap: Wayne Hills Comes Up Short

Wayne Hills was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They lost 7-1 to the Wayne Valley Indians. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Patriots of the 7-6 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Wayne Hills saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Isabella Mastroeni, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run. That hit was Mastroeni's first of the season.

Wayne Hills' loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Wayne Valley, the victory got them back to even at 4-4.

Coming up, Wayne Hills will head out on the road to take on DePaul Catholic at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Wayne Valley, they will take on Ridgewood at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
