Baseball Recap: Tri-Central Gets the Win

Tri-Central's game on Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They walked away with a 7-3 victory over the Elwood Panthers. The Trojans haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Tri-Central got a great performance from Blake Hartman as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over 4.1 innings pitched. Hartman has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Weston Enright was excellent, going 2-for-3 with four RBI and one double. He has become a key player for Tri-Central: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least three RBI, but 2-8 otherwise. Brody Arnold also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

The victory was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 4-9. As for Elwood, they are on a 15-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-20.

Tri-Central didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 10-9 loss against Tipton on the 12th. As for Elwood, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 9-8 win against Monroe Central on the 12th.
