After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Del Norte, Poway was happy to have turned things around on Friday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the San Pasqual Golden Eagles a 5-0 shutout. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 5-0 back in April.

Mya McGowan made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out ten over seven innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in March. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.
