Basketball Game Preview: Johnsburg Skyhawks vs. Woodstock North Thunder

Johnsburg and Woodstock North are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2019, but not for long. The Johnsburg Skyhawks will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against the Woodstock North Thunder at 6:45 p.m. Johnsburg will be strutting in after a win while Woodstock North will be coming in after a defeat.

On Monday, Johnsburg strolled past Marengo with points to spare, taking the game 60-45.

Meanwhile, Woodstock North took a blow against Kaneland on Saturday, falling 74-29. While losing is never fun, the Thunder can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 620th, while the Knights are ranked 51st).

Johnsburg's victory bumped their record up to 12-13. As for Woodstock North, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-16.

Johnsburg took their win against Woodstock North in their previous matchup back in January of 2024 by a conclusive 74-53. Does Johnsburg have another victory up their sleeve, or will Woodstock North turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
