Softball Recap: Butler Takes a Loss

Butler blew Sun Valley out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Thursday Sun Valley got their revenge. The Butler Bulldogs fell just short of the Sun Valley Spartans by a score of 3-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Bulldogs have suffered since May 2, 2024.

Parker Lamb spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on four hits and racked up 13 Ks. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 5.4 strikeouts per game.

Butler's record now sits at 2-5. As for Sun Valley, they moved to 4-3 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.
