Basketball Game Preview: Colonial Beach Drifters vs. Lancaster Red Devils

Colonial Beach and Lancaster are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2018, but not for long. The Colonial Beach Drifters will host the Lancaster Red Devils at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Colonial Beach will be strutting in after a win while Lancaster will be coming in after a loss.

Last Tuesday, everything went Colonial Beach's way against Northumberland as Colonial Beach made off with a 48-25 victory. The Drifters have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven games by 20 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Lancaster suffered their biggest defeat since December 6, 2024 on Tuesday. They were dealt a 53-16 loss at the hands of Essex. The defeat continues a trend for the Red Devils in their matchups with the Trojans: they've now lost six in a row.

Colonial Beach pushed their record up to 15-3 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.0 points per game. As for Lancaster, their loss dropped their record down to 7-7.
