Volleyball Recap: Lewis Cass Takes a Loss

Lewis Cass was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Oak Hill Golden Eagles. The Kings were not able to make up for their loss to the Golden Eagles from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

While Lewis Cass was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Oak Hill's winning margin in every set. The final score came out to 25-9, 25-11, 25-22.

Presley Johnson paced Lewis Cass' offense, picking up five kills. Johnson really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with 13.

Oak Hill was led to victory by Addison Carey and Morgan Cates. Carey had ten assists and six digs, while Cates hit 65.2% for 15 kills and eight digs and one block. Cates has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more kills the last four times she's played.

Lewis Cass' defeat dropped their record down to 6-16. As for Oak Hill, the victory (which was their 13th in a row) raised their record to 19-8.

Lewis Cass wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Southwood on the 9th. As for Oak Hill, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Blackford on the 9th.
