Football Recap: Permian's Run of 11 Straight Victories Now Over

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Permian couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They were outmatched by the Allen Eagles and fell 56-13. The game marked the Panthers' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Despite the loss, Permian still got an impressive performance from Gavin Black, who rushed for 128 yards while picking up 7.5 yards per carry. Black was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 53 yards.

Lyndon Spriggs had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 134 yards and three touchdowns on only 14 carries for Allen. Those three rushing touchdowns gave Spriggs a new career-high. Josyah Johnson also helped with two TDs in total.

The defeat snapped Permian's winning streak at 11 games and leaves them with a 11-2 record. As for Allen, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 13-0.
