Volleyball Recap: Rootstown Comes Up Short

Rootstown lost against Berkshire back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Rovers lost 3-0 to the Badgers. The Rovers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

While Rootstown was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-9, 25-18.

Colbie Curall paced Rootstown's offense, picking up five kills. Curall got some help from Kylie Shelly and her six assists. Finally, Curall was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high five blocks.

Rootstown now has a losing record of 9-10. As for Berkshire, their victory was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 14-2.

Rootstown wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Mogadore on the 6th. As for Berkshire, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against South on the 4th.
