Basketball Recap: Baldwin Beats West Nassau for Their Third Straight Victory

Baldwin had won two straight games and Nyrie Gabriel did her part to make it three on Friday. The Baldwin Indians took down the West Nassau Warriors 59-45 thanks in part to Gabriel, who dropped a double-double on 32 points and ten boards. Those 32 points gave her a new career-high.

Another player making a difference was Jazmine Thomas, who posted six points and 12 rebounds. She has become a key player for Baldwin: the team is undefeated when she posts at least ten boards, but 7-9 otherwise.

Baldwin now has a winning record of 10-9. As for West Nassau, they dropped their record down to 2-13 with the defeat, which was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Baldwin has already played their next matchup, a 46-39 victory against Wolfson on the 28th. As for West Nassau, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 29-27 loss against Northside Christian Academy on the 27th.
