Basketball Game Preview: Classical Academy Caimans vs. St. Joseph Academy Crusaders

The Classical Academy Caimans will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on the St. Joseph Academy Crusaders at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Classical Academy came up short against Grossmont on Friday, falling 58-34.

Meanwhile, St. Joseph Academy had to suffer through a 72-41 loss at the hands of Canyon Hills. The Crusaders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the defeat, St. Joseph Academy saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Sean Howard posted 20 points. That was a full 48.8% of the Crusaders' points, marking the third time in a row Howard has put up more than a third of the team's points.

St. Joseph Academy's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Classical Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-5.

Everything came up roses for Classical Academy against St. Joseph Academy when the teams last played back in December of 2016, as the team secured an 85-10 victory. In that matchup, the Caimans amassed a halftime lead of 48-0, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Tuesday.
