Football Game Recap: Berea vs. Paris

After a disappointing 0 points in the match before, Paris made sure to put some points up on the board against Berea on Friday. Everything came up roses for Paris against Berea as the team secured a 51-8 victory. That result was just more of the same for Paris, who also won the last time these teams played.

Paris got off to a slow start in their previous match, but they had no such trouble against Berea and cruised to a 37-point first half. Meanwhile, Berea couldn't get anything going offensively, leaving the score at 37-0 heading into the break. The Paris defense stood its ground in the third quarter, giving up 0 and all but finishing the game. The win bumped Paris' record up to 2-3. Berea are still searching for that first win as they fell to 0-4.

Paris will look to defend their home turf next week against Bracken County at 7:30 PM. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, Paris and Bracken County will really light up the scoreboard. As for Berea, they will face off against Nicholas County. Both of those teams will be looking for a pick-me-up after considerable defeats in their previous games.
