Basketball Recap: Isaiah Hill and Landon Mcmorris Secure Win for Vistamar

Vistamar won the last time they faced Wildwood and things went their way on Thursday too. The Vistamar Vikings walked away with a 58-48 victory over the Wildwood Wolves.

Leading Vistamar to victory were Landon McMorris and Isaiah Hill. McMorris dropped a double-double on 25 points and 13 boards, while Hill dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten rebounds. Hill's evening made it 15 games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Sebastian Eckstein, who posted five points along with 11 rebounds and three steals.

Wildwood's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Matthew Ardell, who went 6 of 14 en route to 16 points in addition to six boards and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Zane Bryant, who scored 21 points along with six rebounds and three steals.

Vistamar has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season. As for Wildwood, their loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-9.

Vistamar didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 65-44 win against Lennox Academy on the 18th. As for Wildwood, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 50-49 victory against California Academy of Math & Science on the 18th.
