Baseball Game Preview: Centennial Apaches vs. Lawndale Cardinals

For the second straight game, Centennial will face off against Lawndale. The Apaches will look to defend their home field on Thursday against the Cardinals at 3:15 p.m. Centennial has given up an average of 13.2 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Centennial fell victim to Lawndale and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They lost 15-0 to the Cardinals. The Apaches have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

For Lawndale's part, Seth Alex Rodriguez was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. That's the most runs Rodriguez has posted since back in February. Guru Rivas was another key player, scoring a run while going 3-for-4.

Centennial's loss dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Lawndale, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season.
