Pleasanton proved they can win big on Saturday (they won by 11) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past the La Vernia Bears 3-1. That's more bragging rights for the Eagles, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Pleasanton saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Erik Coronado, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Pleasanton is on a roll lately: they've won 20 of their last 21 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 26-4 record this season.
