Softball Recap: Quakertown Panthers vs. Freedom Patriots
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Quakertown had no problem doing just that on Monday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Freedom Patriots 7-6. For Quakertown, this counts as revenge for the 1-0 defeat Freedom walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2016.
Mary Wilkinson was incredible, going 1-for-3 with a home run, three RBI, and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Kira Jefferson, who scored a run while going 3-for-4.
Quakertown's victory was their 14th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 24-3. As for Freedom, their loss dropped their record down to 10-3.
As of now, neither Quakertown nor Freedom have any future games scheduled.
