Canton-Galva has no trouble against Herington

The Canton-Galva Eagles scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They enjoyed a cozy 87-70 victory over Herington. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.

Herington's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Mason Mortensen, who scored 30 points, and Tyus Becker who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds. Mortensen hasn't dropped below 16 points for five straight games. Another player making a difference was Tristen Swarts, who scored nine points along with seven rebounds.

Canton-Galva's victory bumped their record up to 6-7-1. As for Herington, their loss dropped their record down to 5-8.

Canton-Galva will head out on the road to square off against the Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Peabody-Burns is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak. As for Herington, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against the at 7:30 p.m. Elyria Christian is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last 13 games.
