The Westerners haven't had any issues with the Mustangs recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Akron-Westfield's win bumped their record up to 14-9. As for George-Little Rock, their loss was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-14.

Akron-Westfield has already played their next matchup, a 15-5 victory against Gehlen Catholic on the 3rd. As for George-Little Rock, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 9-3 win against Alta-Aurelia on the 5th.
