Basketball Recap: The Christian School at Castle Hills Comes Up Short

The Christian School at Castle Hills was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 46-43 heartbreaker at the hands of the John Paul II Guardians. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 44-41 back in December of 2024.

Dj Miller was his usual excellent self, going 8 for 17 on his way to 23 points along with six boards and five steals for John Paul II. The matchup was Miller's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Bryson Krug was another key player, putting up seven points and seven rebounds.

The Christian School at Castle Hills' defeat dropped their record down to 19-14. As for John Paul II, their win bumped their record up to 6-11.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Holy Cross the next time they take the court. The Christian School at Castle Hills will host Holy Cross at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, while John Paul II will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on January 28th.
