Basketball Recap: Trinity Prep Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

There's no place like home for Trinity Prep, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Holy Cross Lutheran Academy Crusaders 64-62. The Saints have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Crusaders on Tuesday, too.

Despite the loss, Holy Cross Lutheran Academy still got an impressive performance from Christian King, who posted 31 points. That was a full 50% of the Crusaders' points, marking the 14th time in a row King has scored more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Quincy Lee, who earned 13 points.

The win snapped Trinity Prep's losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 4-14 record. As for Holy Cross Lutheran Academy, they dropped their record down to 6-12 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Trinity Prep will head out to face off against Orangewood Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Saints will be up against the Rams' rather soft defense (which has allowed 55.5 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Holy Cross Lutheran Academy, they will head out on the road to challenge Altamonte Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
