Volleyball Recap: Slinger Falls Short Against Ranked Oconomowoc

Slinger faced Oconomowoc in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Owls fell 2-0 to the Raccoons. The loss continues a trend for the Owls in their meetings with the Raccoons: they've now lost nine in a row.

Miley Quade paced Slinger's offense, picking up five kills. Quade got some help from Ella Kohnen and her 11 assists.

Slinger's defeat dropped their record down to 11-7. As for Oconomowoc, their victory bumped their record up to 19-1.

Slinger has already played their next match, a 3-1 win against Homestead on the 25th. As for Oconomowoc, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-1 victory against River Falls on the 20th.
