Volleyball Recap: South Davidson Comes Up Short + How To Watch

South Davidson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 3-1 to the Walkertown Wolfpack.

South Davidson started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 27-25, 25-20, 25-20.

Payton Cook paced South Davidson's offense, picking up eight kills. Cook got some help from Rose Sommer and her ten assists. Cook was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

South Davidson's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Walkertown, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. South Davidson will host Asheboro Hybrid Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Walkertown, they will welcome Millennium at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
