For the first time this season, Mineola will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup on Tuesday. They will host the Eustace Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. After the two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Tuesday.
Mineola barely beat Brownsboro the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Mineola never let Brownsboro get on the board and left with an 11-0 victory on Tuesday. That 11 run margin sets a new team best for the Yellowjackets this season.
Jadelyn Marshall made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. That's the fewest hits she has allowed since back in April of 2024. She was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Journie Wilson, who fired off two home runs and four RBI while going 3-for-4. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in home runs. Another player making a difference was Kali Chrietzberg, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3.
Mineola kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Eustace). They were the clear victor by a 12-3 margin over Frankston on Friday. The win was some much needed relief for the Bulldogs as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
Like Mineola, Eustace also got a great game from a two-way player: Madilyn Andrews. She struck out seven batters over four innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off three hits. Andrews has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in five consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.
In other batting news, Lexi Thompson was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. She also hit a double, marking her first of the season. Page Miller was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4.
The victory made it two in a row for Mineola and bumps their season record up to 3-4. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.0 runs on average over those games. As for Eustace, the win was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 4-5.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Tuesday. Mineola hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.4 home runs per game. However, it's not like Eustace struggles in that department as they've been averaging 0.7 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
Mineola took their victory against Eustace in their previous matchup back in February of 2024 by a conclusive 11-2. Will Mineola repeat their success, or does Eustace have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
